Student of the Month

Tri-State Institute of Hair Design would like to introduce Mr. Phillip Martin, our September 2008 student of the month. Phillip is currently enrolled as a full time student at Tri-State and has completed over 1,400 of the required 1,500 hours.

Phillip resides in Williamsburg, Kentucky with his lovely wife Amanda and their 2 daughters, Mollie and Jacquelin. “I first thought about becoming a Barber/Stylist when my current employer at the time was going out of business, and my father’s barber suggested that I consider the lucrative career a barber/stylist has and because he saw the potential in me to become a top notch barber.”

After learning about some funding available to dislocated workers through the WIA program for training, he started this 9 ½ month journey. He chose Tri-State because he had heard of the innovative instruction he could receive and also because it was close to home. Phillip says, “If you want a quality education in the field of barber/stylist then Tri-State is the place to enroll.”
